Vacations, family, job, etc… but finally WebTiles are on 0.9 too now.
Sorry for the delay – and happy crawling!
Update: The service shut itself down during the night but is up again now.

Finally! I’m pretty new to this game but I love it already and wanted to participate in the competition, even though I still suck :)
Thanks a lot!

Oh hell yes!
WebTiles in and of itself is an amazement, but to be able to play online?! That is f-ing awesome.
Great work, thank you!

What are the chances of a US WebTiles server going up? Lag is pretty bad over here in the States.

Is webtiles down now, though? I’m getting connection refused.

And currently down. Though that’s to be expected on patch day. Thanks for the hours of viewing pleasure! The shared experience really sets this game apart from the rest. Heck it’s practically my 2nd monitor screensaver when not in use!

I’m new to Dungeon Crawl and I decided today to try and check out the online. I’m able to connect to the servers, but I don’t really understand how to get WebTiles to work. I’ve tested and Websocket apparently works, but the WebTiles page never loads.
What exactly am I supposed to do? Or was it just down tonight?

I’m getting complete hang ups on the websocket connections or something. Takes reloading to the lobby to fix it.

Thank you for all the feedback :-)
Please report bugs like connection-loss in our bug-tracker.
Additionally, the IP had lost its ARP entry, which Hetzner Support fixed within minutes of my support call. Murphy’s law :D
Anyways, service should be up and running again. Enjoy!

Hey, great job with webtiles. Is there any chance there will be similar categories as “First Win”, “First 15 Rune Win”, “First to clear a ziggurat” etc for the tiles players in the tournament? It already feels kinda lousy they got a week head start, and all those extra points makes it extra bitter!

Hi!, I’m new to Crawl(stone soup) though I have played Dwarf Fortress (DF and Adventure) for several years, I wonder whether there is the possibility of modding the extended ASCII set, to remain in ASCII mode but with customized characters.
I just started..and I’m already addicted! great work :)

This is great news but I can’t download 0.9 Tiles for OSX. It keeps trying to give me 0.8.1.
Tiles is great for showing this game to people who don’t like ASCII games… I’ve made a few converts already.

Daniel, why not just change the tiles to whatever you want?
