Bugs fixed

  1. Sticky flame now negates invisibility.
  2. Slouch no longer damages the immobile (statues, toadstools) or sleeping or paralyzed/petrified monsters.
  3. Mummies and ghouls can now properly wield vampiric weapons.
  4. Mimics should no longer cause crashes, caused by various reasons.
  5. Merfolk no longer have superfluous cold and poison resistance.
  6. Power-of-two issue with tile loading was fixed, preventing swapping of R and B.
  7. Random vaults now spawn in Pandemonium once more.
  8. Known items listing should now sort properly.
  9. The player is now credited for reflected (caused by shield of reflection) kills.
  10. Summoned ghosts and uniques are now properly dealt with, with regards to milestones and tracked kills.
  11. Beams are no longer drawn on top of the caster, and cloud spells can be cast while on the same tile as a toadstool (for Fedhas worshipers).
  12. Monsters which start as BLACK now use the proper colour during the Misled status effect.
  13. Monster kills should now be credited properly during the Misled status effect; this prevents “shot with an orcish bolt by a yellow wasp”, and similar death messages.

New and changed features

  1. New monster tiles: Khufu, Nikola.
  2. Monsters can now cast summon butterflies.
  3. New tiles: wielded demon blade now has an aura, reaping brand tile, Cheibriados altar.
  4. Clarity now prevents berserk, which only Trog can override.
  5. New tiles: bases for altars and statues.
  6. Tile improvements: Kirke, shaft tile.
  7. New unique rakshasa: Mara, Lord of Illusions.
  8. New spell and status effect: Mislead. Grants the Misled status to the player, and causes monsters to appear as other glyphs, names, and tiles.
  9. Elyvilon no longer abhors butchery during prayer.
  10. The memorisation screen can now be accessed, even if you do not have the experience levels or spell levels necessary to learn any spells.
  11. Auto-explore’s killing of toadstools no longer causes “Really attack with your +0 bow?” prompts, and obeys attack-preventing inscriptions.
  12. New tiles for various armed statues, Crazy Yiuf’s tile now display his wielded weapon.
  13. Rods now identify upon wielding.
  14. Agnes now appears from 12-18.
  15. Labyrinth vaults have been randomized slightly.
  16. Three new Vaults:8 subvaults were added.
  17. Steel ammo is now rarer before D:10.
  18. Queen bees are now yellow ‘k’.
  19. Killer bees are now brown ‘k’.
  20. Queen ants are now light-red ‘a’.
  21. Minotaurs are now light-red ‘H’.
  22. Trapdoor spiders are now light-cyan ‘s’.
  23. Wolf spiders are now white ‘s’.
  24. Giant cockroaches are now brown ‘s’.
  25. Berserk monsters now ignore dangerous clouds.
  26. New tile: slave.

Other

  1. Vaults can now specify custom tile sets for doors and gateways.
  2. The “no_wall_fixup” can now be applied using the KMASK specifier in vaults.
  3. Further tweaks to Xom’s tension and XP cap on activity.
  4. Tiles can now be recoloured dynamically.
  5. Unique placement levels were increased, hopefully increasing the visibility of uniques in the early dungeon.
  6. A start at a spells library for lua: rudimentary wrappers for Ozocubu’s Refrigeration and Olgreb’s Toxic Radiance.
  7. The prebuilt level compiler files have been updated; this should prevent issues where ‘TILE:’ specifiers were causing unknown character errors for systems that do not have flex and bison installed.
