This is more of a feature request than a bug report, seeing how the current behaviour works as intended.
Basically, what you're suggesting is that if you several instances of the same item type in your shopping list, the game should realize that you're interested in all of them and not clear them out, right? Alternatively, don't clear stackables from the shopping list if buying an identical item. Or prompt? |

I think distinguishing behaviour based on whether or not an item is stackable or consumable will do. Stackable as suggested is probably better, considering for example wands. This might occasionally not be what you want (e.g. wanting to buy just one potion of cure mutation to have it identified), but that kind of thing is probably rare enough. |

also, picking up an item in the dungeon can automatically clear it from my shopping list without prompt. This is sometimes unexpected and undesired behavior. |

there may be instances where you have to permanently abandon an item (in abyss, temporary vaults, Jelly eats it, etc), when a duplicate exists in a shop, due to encumbrance issues. Just because you have an item doesn't mean you should automatically stop tracking which shop may have a duplicate, knowing that a shop has a duplicate may aid in deciding what to drop.
expanding the shopping list into an item tracking mechanism (tracking specific item locations with level,x,y) would be a great feature, as it would help to manage stashes. as it is, i have to write down on paper what items i leave at what way points. an in-game mechanism would sure help save a lot of trees! ;)

Um, that's what the stash search (Ctrl-F) is there for. You can also mark up to 9 waypoints to specific stash points from the X map if you consider this helpful. I apologize if I misunderstood your point and you were actually suggesting something different. |

This appears to have already been done. Closing. |
