Description |
When merfolk cast transformation spells and then enter shallow water, the transformation is instantly cancelled and the player reverts to the merfolk's swimming form. Trying to cast the spells while in shallow water gives a failure message. This makes sense for players trying to transform in deep water, but not at all in shallow water - the player may want to transform for the resistances and attack brands that the various transformations grant. Even ice form, which can swim, is cancelled by entering water.
Blade hands doesn't seem like it should be mutually exclusive with the merfolk tail at all. Spider form, statue form and lichform players should be able to stand in shallow water in that form unless they choose to cancel the transformation, and ice form players should remain in that form in both shallow and deep water until it expires or is cancelled. |
