Been gone a long time...
I'm not even sure what the last version I played was, but sometime in 2013 maybe? Anyway, had not been playing much for a long time before that.
Anyway, I like what you've done with the place. I fired up a random character and got DSMo and have been running around kicking tyres.
New Gods: awesome. Picked Qazlal and have been having a ball.
New monsters: interesting!
Removed monsters: I miss some of them, but not many. Cyclopes are gone?
Shorter branches: hooray! But... Depths?
Many many new tiles: I guess?
Lots of fairness tweaks: puzzlement. But mostly seem positive.
Things...
Disaster Area at 27 Invocations is a hilarious panic button (though Upheaval at the same Inv feels crappy given piety cost). Victims so far: Xtahua, Mara, Mennas, assorted other uniques that were hanging out with them, the Vaults reception committee, vast mobs in Zot.
(Foo) of Heal Wounds are now super rare?
The total lack of rMut, how does it get balanced? I visited the Abyss (which seems way easier to escape, even without the rune, so thanks for that) a couple of times and both times came out in funny shapes. That and the lack of SustAb makes me have the Fear about facing Mnoleg.
Ditto acid, the Slimy Rune seems like it's going to be tough.
