Remove Paralysis
Reasons:
- There is nothing fun or interesting about dying because something with a 10-20% chance of inflicting a hex on you pretty much instantly killed you because of landing that hex.
- Slow is enough of a penalty on berserk without a 10% chance of paralysis.
- It's such a low and random chance it feels like "hax" when you die because of it.
- Paralyzing enemies with wand or needles (especially needles on hell lords) is just broken completely. Turning the worst threat in the game into a harmless statue is a bit too broken.
Breakdown:
- Just remove the status effect, period.
- Remove Giant Eyeballs.
- All enemies with the Spell (Paralyze) get it replaced with one or more of: {Confuse, Slow, Agony, Banish} Specifically:
- Grinder: Slow, Agony.
- Orc Sorcerer: Banish.
- Vampire Knight: Confuse, Agony.
- Great Orb of Eyes: Slow.
- Rupert: Slow.
- Sphinx: Slow.
- Ereshkigal: Slow, Confuse.
- Norris: Slow.
- Erolcha/Ogre Mage/Wizard/Lich/Antique Lich: Any {Confuse, Slow, Agony, Banish} (Random).
- Paralysis Needles are removed completely, for now confuse, sleep and slow needles are made more common to compensate.
- Wands of Paralysis are removed completely, Confuse wands made more common.
- Berserk cannot paralyze you after, if more severe than slow option is necessary, make it cause sleep (long term inactivity until something hits you).
- Chaos Clouds cannot cause Paralysis.
- Zin's Paralysis effect replaced with Sleep or Slow.
- Ru's Paralysis replaced with Confuse or Slow.
- Charms Paralysis miscast is replaced with Sleep.
- Wasps and Hornets just cause Slowing, not paralysis.
