YAFVP: Shinigami345 the Invunlnerable DsFi

Well...Well...Well game we meet again. This is actually my second win but my first 15 rune. DsFi kind of rough start you can get really screwed by your muts (would have preferred antenae to my horns since i lacked SInv for most of the game), but one things started going I was near unstoppable. The worst part was having to scum abyss for what seemed like ages (why my turn count is absurdly high) to get necromutation castable. Once that happened it was pretty much necromut then kill everything. I did the entire ascention from Zot:5 with the obsidian axe weilded just for fun. I mean who cares if you get mesmerized if you can just nado your way out D:. This character ended up being way over powered once i got the staff of wucad mu it was just down right silly and I had to ascend. I ascended with about as many fixedarts as I found (why I hardly have anything besides fixedarts). Anyways getting on with it I ended up #114 on webtiles (which is where i've been playing for a while). Even worse than the abyss fiasco was losing my clarity mut to an ornate helix. Chugged 35 mut pots and ended up with no clarity and slow 3. My muts prior to that incident were better i had clarity and quick 1.

Congrats. Casting those spells in that armour is beyond insane.

If I may ask, though...why Abyss? Pan is safer and far more pleasant to scum for almost everyone.

Pan without necromutation or rTorment is suicide there's so much torment you'd be dead in seconds. I did scum pan/zigs after i got necromut though. That and I had no rN without necromut. Oka was VERY stringy as far as gear went I found almost all of my gear in the dungeon/branches. The wizardry really helps the casting I was casting necromut at great in GDA earlier with less int. CPM easier to cast in by far though.

Pan without necromutation or rTorment just means that you need to be careful. I killed upwards of twenty pan lords using mainly Ozo's Fridge and IOOD in one game; I had exactly zero near-death experiences from Torment. So...yeah.

If you have controlled blink pan is easier, if not, abyss is easier. All you need to survive Abyss is swiftness, a level 2 spell :P

And a decent stock of teleporting items. Constant fleeing has a tendency to create situations where you're hopping out of the pan and into the fire.

That's a bit of an understatement on the actual cost of using a ring of teleport. I've been carrying around one since the early/mid game transition and yet I continue to rely on my wand or a scroll if I happen to have one for most of my teleports (I'm not concerned with wasting scrolls of teleport when I have a wand and a dozen recharge scrolls stashed).

The thing is, when using the ring, you're in a situation where you're either dealing with teleportitis or needing to burn a turn changing jewelry. I'm weary of the former even when I'm able to keep cTele up at all times and the latter involves adding at least a turn to the time it takes to carry out the teleport (Possibly making me more vulnerable in the meantime as I may be removing a piece of jewelry with resists/defensive stats). On top of that, you'll still need to actually evoke the teleport. With seven evocation skill, my ogre is still only in the "good" rating. It's enough to loot Slime:6, but there's no way in hell that I'll be swapping rings in combat with those odds. Sure, I could dump more experience into the skill, but even if I were to cast it with a perfect rating, I'll still be required to swap out rings in a situation that I want to get out of *now*.

Congrats on the win. I watched you play a while, including clearing some of the zigs that you did. It was pretty funny and impressive to watch you casting necromut in CPM.

Apparently, carrying the artifacts out of the dungeon doesn't contribute to your final score anymore.
But 3 days of continuous play, now that's a commitment.
