Summary 0009362: TSO flags non-helpless unique as helpless
Description This is my first time getting far enough with TSO to summon an angel. We're fighting Norris and the angel did something to confuse him (I think). Even after he shook off the confusion, I'm unable to attack him without triggering penance:
Your angel hits Norris with a whip of holy wrath.
Your angel closely misses Norris.
Norris hums to your angel, "Death is just a liberation!"
Norris hits your angel with an enchanted great sword!!
Norris hits your angel with an enchanted great sword!!!
Your angel hits Norris with a whip of holy wrath. x2
Really attack the helpless Norris? This attack would place you under penance!
Okay, then.

As you can see he is whooping our behinds, but I can't hit him back.

I attached the savefile.

This is intentional: Norris is attacking your angel, so is considered "distracted" because he's not paying attention to you.

Arguably TSO should just make the "distracted" status not happen rather than caring about attacking distracted enemies.

I have seen distracted monsters many times; they are flagged with a visible highlight in console mode. Norris didn't have that. Was it removed in the version I am playing?

Ah... he didn't show up with the "distracted" background colour because that is overridden by his invisible-but-backlit status.

The lack of branding is fixed in trunk (0.16-a0-3272-gd8bf8f7). Now Norris should show up as something like darkgrey-on-brown to indicated his stabbability.
