Fixed in trunk (0.13-a0-2528-g340e596) and stable (0.12.2-13-gffed442), thanks! The code handled DNGN_ENTER_ABYSS (which didn't need it, as leaving the abyss returned you to the same level) but not DNGN_EXIT_THROUGH_ABYSS (which did need it).

Glad to hear it's fixed.
Although I would like to ask a favor.
On my current run, is there any way possible to tweak the file to make it possible to get the fiery rune? I really don't want to ascend a 14 rune character because of such a silly mistake. |

In the past I've edited saves on CSZO and CAO to allow broken saves to continue, and to restore incorrectly missing access to game content (missing branch entrances, runes that weren't generated). In this case it's much less clear: the level and rune were generated properly, and the bug only caused a missing safety warning. In the past we've not corrected for, for example, a player getting TSO penance because of a missing stop-attack prompt.
It's a very tough call, but I'll have to decline to edit this save. I don't want to set what could be a dangerous precedent (in terms of player expectations), especially when UI safety is a somewhat subjective subject anyway. Sorry to disappoint :(

You're right, that would be setting a dangerous precedent. Oh well. At least I have Cerebov's Sword as a consolation prize. |
