I think the elven ones are easy to confuse with a falchion. The rest looks nice. They all look a lot like long blades, but that's a problem with the things being called sabre. |

what exactly would you say is the problem with them? should the blade be more narrow, less curved...? |

I'd say they should be narrower. |

More narrow maybe, but curve is good. I think all other blades need some curve as well. It is sabers after all.

Our falchion tiles are MASSIVELY lacking in the breadth department. |

IMO nothing is wrong with the tiles (except with the elven ones), but the name of the weapon doesn't fit the short blades weapon class, and the tiles of course fit the name. This isn't your fault. Making them narrower would make them look like foils, which still isn't really a short blade, but at least a light blade. IMO it's okay that the tiles look like sabres, the weapon is called sabre after all. |

Galefury: our distinction between "short" and "long" blades is pretty artificial. Especially if you consider that scimitar (in Crawl, the best non-magic long blade) is just a type of sabre. |

Actually, there's really no such thing as a "scimitar"... it's a name that has been used to refer to several types of usually Arabic sabre-like blades...
Personally, I think falchion and sabre should switch places, making falchion a short blade and sabre a long blade, but it's really quite a trivial issue and probably might cause some confusion for players without really adding much benefit...
Also, @w_n - historically, not all sabres were curved, and the elven weapons have become associated with curvyness more than the others, so I think it's fine for the other blades to remain straight... |

Ok, I edited the elven ones a bit to make them somewhat narrower, it's not a huge difference but it rarely is when we're talking about an image of 1024 pixels... I also edited the dwarven ones slightly, to make the hilt more noticeable, thus differentiating it from dwarven falchion. |
