Summary | 0004518: confused movement can break the rules of clinging | |||||||||||
Description |
Suppose you are in Spider Form, you are confused, and you're standing next to deep water that is next to a wall, but not in such a position that you could move onto its square normally by clinging. If you try to move, you get the "Are you sure you want to move while confused and next to deep water?" prompt (correctly). But if you answer y and your move takes you to the deep water square, you arrive there safely, clinging to the wall, without any "You manage to scramble free"—even though you could not have moved there when not confused. Monsters are subject to the same bug—they can break the rules of clinging while confused. (A victory for player/monster symmetry, at least!) |
