Summary 0002608: no multi-colored walls in Elf
Description The idea is cool but the interface exists to provide information to the player. Color should be used to draw the player's attention to important stuff -- which is not the walls.

It also means you have to examine the wall to see the material.

Weird-colored walls are fine in especially weird parts of the game, like the Abyss. But they should not be used for Elf or other major branches.

I think it'd look okay if it lost the blue walls and just kept the green (in their current numbers), but the combination is too much.

The current pattern also gets messy, especially with diagonals and more complicated geometry. If the generator allows it, you might try other designs, like leaving straight walls alone and coloring ends and junctions in one solid color, sort of like supports - they could be made of harder material as well, if you want.

I think that second idea has promise, actually... I'll see if I can get that working.
