Summary 0002511: Tweaks for the new berserk visuals
Description 0002231 looks fantastic and was basically the best idea ever probably, but there's a little room for improvement. First, the change currently applies to screen flashes like refrigeration, yred draining, and slime creature merging. This looks strange, as they're purely visual "instant" effects. Stuff like this should use the old effect - if I'm not overlooking anything, the new behavior should be berserk-specific.

Second, berserk should turn nonhostile plants red, I think. Plants/fungus/bushes/toadstools are technically monsters, but functionally features, and having them stand out during berserk looks funny. Oklobs, spores, ballistos, etc would remain as they are, as they're "real" monsters. Gameplay comes first and all, but it seems unlikely that anyone's going to hack at plants while berserk.

I kind of agree, even if that would introduce an inconsistency.

No comments on the first part (no idea how it looks like now) but I second the second idea. There's not too much inconsistency here, in my opinion: we are excluding xp=0 monsters in many places.

I'm not that hot for the second idea, I meant only the first one.

First part is implemented, and I don't have a strong feeling either way about the second part - anyone else have any opinions?

I think the idea of suppressing plants is a good one.

K, plants are suppressed.
