Summary 0007840: Stop Casting ability for channeled spells (Searing Ray)
Description Currently, in order to stop Searing Ray, one must perform any action. There may be times when certain obvious actions (like movement) are undesirable and the player is forced to figure out a "safe" action to perform to stop casting Searing Ray. In extreme cases, there may in fact be no such action, and the player would be forced to perform a potentially disadvantageous action just to cancel Searing Ray.

Flavor-wise, it doesn't make sense that a wizard would be able to stop casting a spell by walking or dropping an item, but not able to just stop casting it.

I propose a Stop Casting (or similar) ability when the Ray status is in effect (or any future channeled spells), which casts instantly and removes said status effect.
