Summary | 0007840: Stop Casting ability for channeled spells (Searing Ray) | ||||||
Description |
Currently, in order to stop Searing Ray, one must perform any action. There may be times when certain obvious actions (like movement) are undesirable and the player is forced to figure out a "safe" action to perform to stop casting Searing Ray. In extreme cases, there may in fact be no such action, and the player would be forced to perform a potentially disadvantageous action just to cancel Searing Ray. Flavor-wise, it doesn't make sense that a wizard would be able to stop casting a spell by walking or dropping an item, but not able to just stop casting it. I propose a Stop Casting (or similar) ability when the Ray status is in effect (or any future channeled spells), which casts instantly and removes said status effect. |
