thorn hunter (00f)

A predatory marsh plant, possessed of motility and a rudimentary intelligence. It ensnares its prey in rings of spiny brambles and then skewers the trapped creatures with its razor-sharp thorns. When injured or approached by enemies, it can even raise these brambles as a barricade around itself.

Henzell says...
Fast, mobile plants which fire volleys of thorns while making large "briar patches" to keep you from escaping and protect themselves. Briar patches will hurt you when you melee them, and can be fired through similar to brushes. Appear in Swamp as top-tier threats. Added in 0.14.
