A great reptilian beast with powerful claws on its limbs, covered in thick red scales and with two huge bat-like wings. Little trails of smoke spill from its toothy maw.

Avoid if you lack rF. It sometimes drops {fire dragon scales} when it dies. Was called "Dragon" in ancient versions of crawl.
