This stretch has seen a mix of gameplay and infrastructure changes, both with contributions from the community, as well as bug fixes and tweaks from\u00a0<em>Goratrix, chequers,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Implojin<\/em>.\u00a0If you\u2019d like to help out in the effort of developing crawl\u00a0come by ##crawl-dev or check out our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/crawl\/crawl#how-you-can-help\">GitHub for how to contribute<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>On the gameplay side:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Palentonga&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>HP aptitude has been increased to +1<\/li>\n<li><strong>staves of earth<\/strong>\u00a0now deal higher damage, but with the shrapnel effect of being affected 3 times by AC.<\/li>\n<li><strong>staves of conjuration<\/strong>\u00a0now deal irresistible damage that checks AC (taking Earth&#8217;s old effect).<\/li>\n<li><strong>staves of summoning and wizardry<\/strong>\u00a0are removed.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Controlled Blink<\/strong>\u00a0spell has blinked right out of the game, and is removed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Blink scrolls<\/strong>\u00a0no longer cause Contam.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Orb&#8217;s translocations interference<\/strong>\u00a0is reduced:\u00a0blink scrolls can be used in Zot and on the Orb run, as can Passage of Golubria. However, passages are shorter lived and less accurate under the Orb&#8217;s influence.<\/li>\n<li>The various\u00a0<strong>plants and fungi<\/strong>\u00a0of the dungeon are now much weaker, once hit they begin to wither and die in 3-5 turns. The exceptions are bushes and briars, made of stouter stuff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the infrastructure side:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>wjchen<\/em>\u00a0sent us a community contribution to improve\u00a0<strong>WebTiles glyphs mode<\/strong>\u00a0font handling. This introduces two new options for customization, glyph_mode_font and glyph_mode_font_size, for all you WebTiles glyphs players.<\/li>\n<li>The window drawing loop has seen some optimizations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><em>The trunk update blinks out of view!<\/em><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You feel the power of the Orb delaying this trunk update!
