I started a character on 0.7 that my 0.6.1 doesn't "see" -- and likewise, 0.7 doesn't "see" my 0.6.1 characters. That may be incompatibility -- but also sometimes I just get confused about where to put/keep all my morgue/saves/characters -- as it's stored in a subdirectory of /Library/Application Support/Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. That said, when my 0.7 character died, he did show up in the top 100 scores file with all my 0.6.1 characters... so there's obviously some compatibility.
