I think it feels extremely odd and out of place how much doing something -first- increases the score you get for it. This is a turn based game, it requires thinking, and careful decision making, there’s not much of a speed element to it. (I know there’s a tiny DCSS speed running community, but I feel like they’re not really big enough to cater heavily to.)

So I think it’s very strange that someone who’s job happens to line up so they can play at the start of the tournament lets them score WAY more points for something like a MiBe win while someone else who can’t play on the first day or two scores way less for the same win.

I like the idea that a race/background with a lot of wins scores less points, but I feel that should be retroactive, so that EVERY win with that race/background is worth less points instead of just the ones that occur later in the tournament.
