I wouldn’t say conservation made the game much easier. I mean, I use Jiyva for the late, so late game for me is pretty much the same.

Now, because I’m intolerant of mathematical facts being debated:

New%/Old% = 1.71%/1.31% = 30.53% increase.

While we’re at it, the total win increase:

992 / 743 = 33.5% increase.

And an increase from 1.31% to 1.71% win rate still shows that a bunch of players never were able to finish their games. Imagine win rate was 0.1% next time it goes up to 0.2%. WOW we have an increase of 100% still nearly nobody is able to beat the game. IMHO This does not meet the definition of ‘easy’.

I went from my normal of 1 win per tourney to 6 in a row. Games easier. Alot easier.

1.31% -> 1.71% is a 30.5% increase, not 76%. if you’re going to argue, at least don’t fuck up your maths that bad maybe?

76% increase in the % win rate. Conservation was a big part of DCSS, it’s clearly making the mid/late game easier to run around with all scrolls at all times.
