CIP -> YAVP SpEn Ash - Ring advice needed

Hi!

It's my first post after lurking for a few years. I've been playing crawl since 0.6 - playing it veeeeeery badly. My greatest achievement to date is a max of two runes.

However, currently I have a rather nicely going SpEn of Ash who just started to clear the top floors of Zot after getting three runes (Swamp, Vaults and Snake).

I do have a question: should I exchange any of my current rings:
o - a cursed +6 ring of intelligence (left hand)
A - a cursed ring of wizardry (right hand)
with this one:
s - the ring "Ruukkeun" {SustAb Dex+3 Int+5}

And is so, with which one? Will the +5 Int compensate for the lack of wizardry? Or should I just lose 1 Int for the +3 Dex and the SustAb?

Take off Wiz and put on that Int+5 ring. Once you get it cursed, you should be fine. If for some reason you find a spell with a concerning fail rate, go stab all of Crypt to get the necessary EXP before resuming Zot.

Or better yet, put on a ring with resistances (preferably rFire).

Strangely enough the only +rF ring I came across thus far has been one with +/*TELE. Also no +rN either. I do have a fire dragon hide and a few enchant scrolls stashed, but I'm not comfortable giving up the {Str+3 Dex+4 Int+3} of my current armour. At least not yet.

I`m not a good player either, but I noticed that randart amulet with faith and rF+ in your inventory and I wonder if it would be more useful than rMut in zot.

rF++ is a priority in Zot, but if uncomfortable with taking of rMut for that, go do Crypt for an easy branch to hopefully find a vanilla rF ring.

Yes, I put on that rF amulet, and I attempted Zot:5 with only rF++ and no rN.
