Fanart?

I'm putting together an illustration portfolio and I'm working on a series of character portraits for DCSS's player races- the full twenty-four. (Possibly crazy, but I'll see how far I get...) Just finished the first, and I'd be very interested to hear some opinions. Too self-promotional to share here? If not, where should I post it? And can I just attach a huge jpeg to a post in this forum?

I'm going to second fanart being both a good and welcomed thing. I wouldn't think simply sharing your work crosses the line to "shameless self promotion" though. Heck, if it's any good, you're welcome to a little ego pandering.

You can attach .jpgs directly, but I'm not sure what the size limit is (dnar said 1MB at one point, but I think it varies by filetype, and he wasn't talking images then). Or is it just the slightly messy formatting of giant re-sized images cluttering threads you find unappealing? Either way, if it's a problem it's pretty easy to upload to an offsite gallery and link.

Here we go. KoBe! With a player ghost for effect. Kobolds seem to lack a universally accepted appearance- this is my take. Can anyone recognise the unrandart?

I love how tiny the potions on his belt are. They aren't bottles to be chugged, they're tiny flavor ampules to be delicately poured over your tongue. ...and speaking of tongue, great expression he's wearing there.

Seriously, this is pretty awesome. You paid great attention to detail.

Dammit, now I can't stop seeing the pancake. You're totally right.
And I figured the potions would have to be tiny little ampoules. You get one shot that takes a single turn to consume, and you can do it with your hands full. No way that's a corked flask. Snap the neck, gulp, done. Berserkers probably eat the vial.
