The abyssal rune, where is it?

I've been playing trunk (1614), and I saw in the changelog that the abyssal rune is now mostly in abyssal vaults.

Well, I wandered the abyss long enough to find the exit 3 times, and only saw empty arches of stone. Where are those abyssal vaults?

Are they not implemented yet in trunk?

Or I still can find the rune laying about in the Abyss?

Yes, there are vaults in Trunk, for instance the one with liches and doors or the one with hordes of Ys.
The chance that it spawns increases with time spent in the Abyss, too (turnwise). You probably just need to run around more, and look out for vault-like structures, stuff that looks too "regular" or groups of enemies that seem to have a consistent "theme", like the Ys.
