YAD????: KoHu^Kiku, how do you do kiku

After my air bird crashed and burned, I decided to try ko^kiku. First i tried monk, but i soon learned piety is pretty easy to gain with kiku. So i did hunter. I like shooting things.

The reason I am asking is because... i don't know how to play kiku.... bringing corspes i kind of get it, and i branded my dagger but i dont know what skill to get, how much to train necromancy..... I burned the 2 potions of heal wounds at volcano, and i am feeling pretty stuck. No rpois No mr and shoals and snake stand in my way... No rmsl no good buff spells.. the only book decent is book of clouds, and im not sure what im doing.
I found a sick arbalest tho, continuing my dreams as a crossbow. (does portal projectile work with penetration brand?)
What should i do?

That's probably enough of Necromancy for a while. Snake is doable without rPois and MR, just retreat and ask/animate corpses when you need. I would train more Crossbows, it's a sick arbalest indeed.

Keep an army of skeletons and zombies. Use Receive Corpses and Animate Dead when in any danger. The pain dagger will work great, both from the fast pain damage and from distraction stabs. (Maybe get a bit of Stealth soonish.)

Snake isn't too bad without rPois, especially since you have Regeneration. With low MR, you can get teleported by Naga wizards and the artists formerly known as greater nagas (don't remember new name): remember you can cancel tele status by reading a scroll of tele (or using the wand) if the floor is not yet explored.

Agony might help if you have access to it.

The arbalest is great, but doesn't work well with allies. I'd probably train for it and use it, still. I'm pretty sure Portal Projectile works fine with penetration (effectively cancelling the brand). Do I remember correctly that you can shoot through your undead allies (ie *without* Portal Projectile) and they won't become hostile? And Kiku doesn't care?

Eventually, Death Channel is strong, as is Simulacrum, but the latter is Necromancy/Ice so harder to get online.

Yeah, use corpse drop + rot or animate whenever stuff gets hairy. Corpse Drop is nuts.

I guess you could try that torment thing, too... I don't think I've ever used it.

Whew... Snake and Shoals was... ok, the arbalest ripped through everything. did elf and got nothing.
I tried Vault 5 and got rekt but still got the rune and tele danced out..
So, from now on, what should i train? and armour suggestions?
