So this is my newest char. Completed two ziggurats, tomb and abyss. I've got one question - now that clarity is gone out of the game, how can I resist confusion hell effect as a mummy?

Also any comments and other advices are welcome.



EDIT: So I switched to Ash. Once I reached *** rest of a game was a breeze.

Clarity isn't gone - just the base amulet. You can still get Clar from Ash, autumn katana, mutations, and probably a couple other sources.

At this point the only benefit Sif offers you is channeling. You could easily switch to Ash, get ***, and profit. If you feel like you still need channeling, you have 27 evo... just use CBoE or staff of energy. There must be at least one of those lying around somewhere. I see Wucad Mu in your inv... that could work too.

You can't, unless you worship Ashenzari or wear Orange Crystal Plate Armour, Autumn Katana or (I think) amulet of Four Winds. I guess if you're really lucky you'd found the faerie dragon armour with +Clarity?

Ah yeah, thanks for reminding me. Four Winds is definitely still in the game and is a great option if you find it - I've used it on a few occasions in trunk recently.

I wouldn't say you're forced into worshipping Ash, but yes, extended comes with a gear/resist check if you don't want to press your luck.

Congrats on the 15 runer!

I love Ash in extended, even without clarity. Clarity is just icing on the already delicious cake. Granted, Ash is a better option when you're not already a firestorm machine.

Thanks! To be honest I don't really see any benefits from worshipping Ash in extended. Only useful thing was clarity, which probably saved me in hell. It went pretty good anyway I was a bit afraid to play without Sif channeling, but staff of wucad mu turned out to be even better source of MP.

Knowing where the portals/stairs are as soon as you enter Pan/Hell level is very beneficial IMO.
