That's my dump, any advice?

BTW, i found a sweet shop with amulets of Cons, clarity, and 2 rings of wizardry (one a rC- ring of wizardry)

I spit poison against poison-vulnerables, and as a backup when I run out of ammo.

I also use up my regular arrows, then the *special* ones. Is this a good tactic?

What should I train, where should I go, and what should my playstyle/next milestone be?

Also, I'm trying to develop my Chei-Taur as a slow but deadly ranged bows specialist, who uses spells as a backup when running out of ammo, and also uses support spells (invisiblility, enslavement, etc)

Looks like a very interesting character. Most centaur hunters focus on bows with melee as backup, but if you are really serious about wanting to use spells as backup, then put the rest of your stat gains into int. Chei Int will make it fairly reasonable, and you already have sting/venom bolt/spellforged servitor to enable conjurations. Note that servitor will be quite late game, don't rush it for it. Learn sting now, and get venom bolt online "soonish". You're going to need to seriously consider if it's worth diving into each school for various support magic; you can't afford to train a lot of spell schools highly.

You're going to need to be really, really efficient with skill training. Stop training fighting immediately (it has no effect on bows - you'd only train it for hp), and train only one thing at a time. You might want a bit more in bows, but if you're at min delay you should probably stop training bows (you should be pretty close, I'm not sure if you're exactly at .6 turns with your bow yet though). Then you'll need invocations to get Chei's abilities online, but I'm not sure how powerful slouch will be since you're a centaur. Step from time requires about 14-15 invocations to have at 1%, which is a lot for you right now. You might delay getting invocations too high, but getting it to 8-9 gives you a reasonable step from time failure for now (~20%).

You'll be somewhat at the mercy of the floor to get spells, but hopefully you should be able to find a reasonable selection. Venom bolt will do for a while. **

You won't have much experience to spare for defenses for a while, but when you can, train dodging, with your dex it will be pretty powerful despite being large sized, and you can't wear heavy armor and cast.*

It would be much easier to use melee as a backup to ranged, but I applaud you for taking the road less travelled ;) (And it's fine if you change your mind)

**Edit the second - noticed you also have force lance, which will probably be easier to get online since it's single school. You could go for either, but maybe consider force lance as it'll be easier to cast and the knockback sounds good for a character who's pure ranged. It's also unresistable; although I think venom bolt has higher damage on non-resistant things.

The more types of different ways you train to kill things, the less experience you can put into each, so you'll start to fall behind the monsters in power. Learning 2 types is common, you eventually want to have main/backup offense, but learning all 3 is a steep exp requirement. Melee usually compliments ranged weapons because you only have to train one skill for it, often only to around level 14 or so, for a pretty decent attack that can save you ammo.

If you use chei all the way to picking up the orb, there's zero reason to abandon him for the orb run back up. Running from things might be slightly harder, but you've already dealt with that all game long, so it's not a change. Chei will slow things down so that not as much spawns. You'll probably have to fight a few things, but not much at all. You can always step from time if you'd rather not fight something. That is far, far in this character's future though - I'd worry about getting your runes and the orb first. But really, stay with Chei for the orb run.

Percent on spells - If it's something you cast all the time, say a venom bolt or force lance, then 1%. If it's something you only cast once in a while, say an abjuration, than <20% is probably fine. You generally want any spell to be at 1% fail, it's just a trade off on how soon you can spend the exp to get it there vs training something else.

Standard branches. Two lair runes, one from vaults. Full, typical path (some variations exist, of course): Dungeon, temple, dungeon until lair, lair, orc, rest of dungeon, lair rune 1, lair rune 2, vaults 1-4, depths and/or crypt, vaults 5 and/or elf, zot, win. Do not enter slime, hell, abyss, pan, or tomb. Crypt and Elf are optional and a lot of players recommend skipping them, especially elf.

But the fact that you asked this and what % on spells makes me think you're a bit newer than I thought, and so I'd just like to repeat the warning that this is a fairly atypical build, and you might have an easier game and get further if you do something more cookie cutter. That call is ultimately up to you, of course :)

Nah, I'm not new. Played crawl for ~1 year, but I always muck about in WizMode and Arena, trying to determine outcomes of many different situations that I often find myself in.
Never won, though.
And never played this combo, but it's doing a good job for me.

Min delay for bows is 0.6 turns. You can shoot 3 arrows and see how much time it took. If 1.8 turns, then you are likely to be at min delay.

The reason why he didn't give you a skill level is that it's based on skill level and your stats. Most characters have to train bows to 20+ skill unless they have outstanding dex - since you're worshipping Chei you can get to min delay in roughly half the time. You'll need to save that exp if you're also going to be pumping a lot of magic, and don't forget to fit in defenses somewhere...

Ran into Pikel on this dungeon level, and almost died to three slaves. Slouch saved me, but I used a good amount of my resources. I need advice. Am I strong enough to tackle him? If so, what should my strategy be?

Chei is not kind of god who allows to try killing a unique, it's either kill or die (unless you don't care about dying later because of wasted consumables on those tries). With any other god you would be able to kill Pikel absolutely safe :)
I am not sure why you are training Conjurations, I think CeHu can deal more damage with bows and use magic just for support.
I would put several scrolls of teleportation in the stash, 5 is too many without conservation IMHO, even with Chei.

I answered your question but I can reword. Try killing Pikel if you don't care about consumables, there is no safe way to kill him with Chei.

That's Chei, one of two gods who can make Ce die to Hydra. I don't see a solution except Slouch (hydra is almost dead), wand of cold or Step From Time.

In general, bows should take care of hydras before they get into melee range of you. If they don't, slouch does decent damage on normal speed characters, centaur shouldn't be too much worse. Wands are always an option depending on what you have.

But I'd just shoot them with bows and if they get into melee range, wear semi-heavy armor and keep shooting. If you aren't in heavy armor, figure out something else to escape.

Just died to a 5-headed hydra Zombie while exploring the level of the Dungeon I found the Lair on. This was my best character, and I know I could have run away after I confused it, but this is an accomplishment, and I don't feel upset at all. I'm actually happy, regardless of this death. ;)
