I don't think that makes it a lie. Obviously I don't die to Sigmund every time to play: various kobolds, giant newts, and accidental trips while going downstairs kill me too, and Grinder likes to keep his hand in. Nonetheless, I still get handed mine on a plate by Sigmund shamefully often.

When I was a kid, the Orb of Zot was in a game that I was playing on my Apple ][. (Which is where Linley got it.) And pre-dated the Usenet/Internet Oracle by several years.

Oh, and Zot had been used in the comic strip B.C. before even that.
