YAVP: DsNe of Vehumet (ZOT DEFENCE)

Zot Defence may be buggy as hell, but it sure is fun! This is my first official ZD win, though an earlier character might have won if the map clearing bug hadn't deleted a rune. Interestingly, neither of these guys had what I would consider good Ds mutations for ZD. An earlier character picked up two levels of Powered by Death before level 8, which was amazing in corpse-heavy ZD (along with the regen spell, he could often regen about 5-7 hp per turn.), though he had a later mishap. Turns out my Ds mutations had basically zero impact on this particular game. I got lucky to find some fire spellbooks in the equipment caches, which allowed me to transition into a fire build instead of the ice build I did last time and which Vehumet and the Book of Conjurations tend to push you toward.

This was on Map I, which I think people claim is the easiest one. After learning every nook and cranny of this map, I'm ready to move on to some of the more interesting ones.

This game is currently #4 on the relevant .10 ZD high score list! Huzzah for me! It's also my first ZD game where I had no rot/orb desecration the whole time.
