OgHu, which spells?

I started this char after YAverySD on a DrWz who who steamrolling everything and died in Orc:4 because I am too stupid to feed some permafood to a near starving caster.

Anyway, it turned out to be a pretty badass one, but since I usually don't play tab-smashing heroes, I'm looking for some help, mainly regarding which spells should I be aiming for. My combat skills are high enough that there is no point investing in them much more at the moment, but I have really no clue what kind of spells I could use. I guess some Charms (RMsl, Haste?)? I picked up all the books I found so far for the dump.

Btw I know that my weapon is -CAST, I hope to find / being gifted a new decent one pretty soon or i can just go back to a +2+3 great mace of draining I have somewhere.

Oh and one last thing, exactley what kind of armour slot can a Ogre use? If I got it right they can't use any kind of gloves\boots\headgear, which sound pretty alarming to me.

I'd probably go translocations & charms, and learn swiftness & regen at the least. The OgHu I won wasn't casting until very late in the game, but he was in GDA for most of the time, so it took a good while longer to get casting viable. I maxed Spellcasting before doing much with the other casting skills, just so hunger costs were as low as possible. I'm no expert though, just got a good run when I played that OgHu (at least until a stupid mistake made me decide not togo for the last few runes), so my advice may not be applicable or even that good. Best of luck with your run though!

Ogres can use robes, enchanted hides (troll hide, dragon armours), wizard hats and caps, and jewelry.
