Somewhat not terrible player looking for a team!

And anyone else who wants to arrange .10 tournament teams here, go for it. I've got one 3 rune victory so far (not in the tournament) and am playing a naga monk of chei :D who's level 20 (in the tournament, webtiles) right now...anyone have a team that still has some space?

Re: Somewhat not terrible player looking for a team!

I wouldn't mind joining! Doing this for fun anyway.

I just had my first win on the tournament and with a GhCK on top of that! Here:
http://crawl.develz.org/morgues/0.10/TehDruid/morgue-TehDruid-20120226-163418.txt

Don't know how much I can play but the weekend I'll be on for sure.

Also playing Webtiles and bordering on somewhat not terrible. I've had 2 3-run wins so far (including the above) and one 10-rune win. :P

I'm up for a team as well, though I got a late start and am just on my first game.

Re: Somewhat not terrible player looking for a team!

On second thought, I just decided to create a clan. You two are welcome to join and I've got room for two others, first come first serve.

Team name: The Expendables. Edit your RC with TEAMNAME The Expendables and you should be good to go.

That won't work - see here for how to set up a clan. Members need a TEAMCAPTAIN line, and the captain needs a list of members.

Ok, what he said. If you want to join that clan, add # TEAMCAPTAIN tcjsavannah to your RC and post or message me here and I will add you to the clan roster.

How about a clan for people who have played the game several thousand times and still never won? I'm happy to start one if anyone else is interested.

Suggestions for a name for such a clan are welcomed.

Re: Somewhat not terrible player looking for a team!

Alas, my game might have been even better if I had found a single rMut amulet. I would dare to conquer more, perhaps even an all-runer, but three bad mutations from two shining eyes on Slime:1 reminded me of "better safe than sorry".
I wanted to try a Ziggurat for one - again, alas. Both Zig entrances were sealed of in translucent stone walls. No cTele for me = no hope for me.
The three orbs of fire I encountered in the orb vault still managed to mutate the hell out of me.
Eh, whatever. A three-runer out with the Orb is always better than a splatter holding all the runes, and I am probably not without an ace up my sleeve yet ;).

Good luck with your clan, CI ! And we still have room for one more in The Expendables.

Interestingly enough I had two in that game, both freely accessible.. the one on D:18 was ~6000 gold while the one on D:27 was only 3300 gold. Plus I had a treasure trove that I had yet to open that needed 16 scrolls of teleportation - I was up to 13.

Anyway, even now that Sphara joined our clan (and currently being on Zot:5), there's five Expendables, while rules allow six players.

Well, I participated for the first time in August 2009, but at that time I was far from even a rune. A year later, though, I grabbed a SpVM highscore with my first-ever all-runer, and with all the litlle time I have at my hands, I will do my best to grab this feat again :).

The Expendables apparently has another opening.. I thought the team was five including the captain but it's five plus a captain.

Welcome Sphara to the team - bringing us a third win in the process - and still one opening left to fill!
