CIP: HUWN. Should I go for first extended?

This character is going pretty well and is really fun. I've got boots of running, cloak of the thief, +9 slaying from rings, 3 nice bows, +6 faerie dragon scales {MR+++ rCorr Str-2 Int+2 SInv}, high stealth, and a whole bunch of mobility spells.

I've done a lot of 3-5 rune games at this point, but have never done extended. How would this character fare for extended? Should I switch off of Okawaru for extended and branch out into a melee weapon? Right now the only weapon I have trained is bows. I'd be worried about arrows without Okawaru.

I don't have any crazy melee weapons dropped yet, just mace of variability. Haven't explored hall of blades though.

I'm open to general build advice, spells to learn, etc.

Where are the potions of heal wounds and mutation?
Is controlled blink around?
Right now you only have one scroll of blinking.

I wouldn't worry about using pure bows. I've played characters with pure bows without Oka, and after you meet your first centaur you never run out of arrows.
TSO is good, and can give you a holy longbow. Oka might be acceptable too.

From the chardump, you already have most of the escape and stall routes covered. Portal Projectile is the spell to use the most, and in terms of divine support you could make the Okawaru->Shining 1 switch. You said you're not experienced with extended, so having an innate source of rN and on demand SH on top of bow death is good. Summoned allies will also take a huge amount of problems down without much trouble. Probably the greatest advantage is the sustain from evil kills: you get HP and MP from demons and undead and such.
Because of the sheer amount of tormenting enemies and long range attacks in Pandemonium and Hells, the cloak is a huge bonus - you can evoke fog and control your LOS. If a situation gets bad, always think of mitigation and escaping so you don't end up posting YASD.
There is always something new to learn.

Went through all my heal wounds potions. I think I only had 1 mutation potion drop all game and I already used it. There's a book of the warp I can buy for controlled blink.

After grabbing every arrow I could find I have 712. Just want to confirm, this is enough for extended with TSO? Will I have to branch out into melee to deal with lack of arrows, and if so any recommendation on weapon type?

Also is there a way to turn portal projectile off to conserve mana?

712 arrows is enough arrows to last you forever. You'll probably finish the game with >500 arrows remaining. I wouldn't hesitate to train bows to 27 (when there's no other skill you need).
You can actually play a hunter^Ru and never run out of arrows. (You also never run out of bolts after getting to vaults.) Just try to pick up your arrows after you shoot them. I usually try not to shoot arrows into deep water, but when you have stockpiled 712 I don't think that matters much.
With TSO mana conservation isn't as important (because of mana-on-kills).
Having no !heal, !mut or ?blink sucks. If I didn't have those, I'd probably go Crypt -> Hell -> abyss -> Pan. That way you have the most control over when you need which resources. Remember you can ascend before getting 15 runes.

You can do extended with Okawaru. Finesse remains good all game.

If you want to convert to TSO, do it before Crypt, so you can build up piety there quickly. Keep in mind that Okawaru wrath can be dangerous.

I wouldn't worry about arrows. You have enough. Just be careful of water/lava.

Since you don't have great options for rN, TSO would be a good choice.

Annnnnd I died cause I was dumb. Got shafted to crypt 2, and then surrounded by okawaru wrath, got confused somehow and took too much damage being dumb. Easily avoidable by popping cure wounds earlier.

Lesson learned though. I get frustrated with how common shafts feel now, and play fast to get back up. Whenever I get shafted I feel like I have to race back up so I can, in my mind, "actually get back to playing". Just a bad mindset I can fix in future games.

Just curious, anyone know if is this actually true? Feels like it is but I can't tell actually tell.

I had one game where I was shafted on D:1 and more than one where I was shafted and, on my way up, was shafted again!
These were all recent games.
