CiP : BaCj^Veh doing some shopping

I have a good BaCj going on, and Orc shops are teasing me with some nice stuff. Here's my shopping list :

I have just enough to get the Wucad Mu staff.

I don't really think channeling should be much of a concern under Vehumet, personally. Of the three listed items, I'd go for the randart amulet. Sure, the staff makes casting hungerless, but you're not throwing around glaciates just yet.
There is always something new to learn.

You've misread the learnDB entry, "the staff" mentioned at the beginning is "the staff of energy"(previously "staff of channeling" in an older version of DCSS) the MP recovery for WucadMu is listed later (2+d5+evo/3)

This lists 3 different sources of channeling:
* Staff of energy: Success: evo+11/40, Cost:50 hunger, Reward:1d3 MP
* Staff of Wucad Mu: Success: evo+1/25 and a 20% chance of "failing" with a divination miscast, Cost:50 hunger, Reward: 2+d5+evo/3 MP.
* Sif Muna 'channel energy' ability: Cost:100-300 hunger, Reward: d(2+inv/4) MP

I'm not convinced that Wucad Mu is worthwhile at this point for you, but you should at least have accurate numbers to work with :)
