Wanderers!

My top Crawlers have all been Wanderers, and the ones at the very top Demonspawn.

I guess I'm into random builds? I like to just see how it goes and be flexible.

Re: Wanderers!

That's true! It must be the Will of ZOT. Often ZOT works against your best laid plans, but trust in ZOT and your character will succeed. Well, maybe not actually succeed, but at least have a rawkus good time before he dies in an embarrassing manner.

Re: Wanderers!

im guessing wanderers just keep reseting the game until they get an ungodly lucky start and go from there.

is it even posible to get your stats to all shuffle towards 0 str,12 int,0 dex? that would be hella imbalanced.

Not just imbalanced but unplayable; you'd die from stat-death soon enough.

Re: Wanderers!

Sometimes I play Wanderers. I'll reset/reload if I get a BAD starting roll, but I don't keep doing it until I get something amazing. "Okay" is sufficient.

So far it's taught me that I hate Earth spells, Long Blades are actually pretty nice, don't be afraid to find a new weapon ASAP from the start, among other things. It's a good way to broaden my horizons. In between runs I'm familiar with, I'll sometimes play a Wanderer in either Human, High Elf, Sludge Elf, Kobold or Kenku just for a change of pace.

Re: Wanderers!

Wanderers are fun for spellcasters because you get some weird randomness with the books and the starting tome. I usually try and get someone that starts with necro book and can cast sting, its fun building up all the random spell schools.

For guaranteed success, play a Troll.

You blink. You feel slightly more hungry. Prince Ribbit hits you. You die...
"Hey, that's my toy!"
Xom revives you!
