Bad Fighting Description Ingame

This description ingame made me ignore Fighting on all my ranged characters, and it made me wonder why I kept missing with my bow. I assumed bows were missing by design since they are ranged and thus avoid taking so much damage.

Fighting skill increases your accuracy and damage in hand-to-hand combat, and
also increases your maximum health.


Hand to hand means melee. So I ignored that skill for the most part (only getting it to 10 or so for some bonus HP).

But then I found this:

beem: fighting[1/1]: The Fighting skill gives you a bonus to accuracy and damage in melee and ranged, and improves your hit points by Fighting * (3/2 + XL/14) (see {hp}). Its effect on your damage is 0.83x the effect of weapon skill (not counting increases in attack speed), so if you want to hit hard then train it too.


Leveled up more fighting and started hitting a lot more with my bow.

Bad description is bad.
