Resting to full HP with Yred allies

I usually am only able to rest about 8 turns before I am interrupted by one of these idiots shouting at me. please just make vampires shut the hell up/stop turning invis repeatedly when literally nothing is happening. I've taken to retreating to an upstairs and making my whole army wait, then heading up to rest alone because otherwise it takes forever.

Related problem: has message-spam from plant destruction (perma-allies and Qazclouds being common offenders) been dealt with? That also interrupts resting.

In general the message box leaves rather a lot to be desired. You get messages about enemies wielding distortion or holy wrath mixed in with hundreds of messages about stuff that doesn't matter. Yes you can improve things a lot with custom config options but really the standard out-of-the-box implementation should be a lot better.

You could do what i do and use force_more_message for low hp, distortion, holy wrath, banishers, blowgun/wand users etc. Then when that stops being useful because you just habitually hit space every turn you can use screen_flash_message. Then when that stops being useful because your mind just auto ignore flashes you can use lua to force yourself to hit p exactly three times. Then when that stops working because you instinctively hit shift+5 to break your lua code after every turn you... I dont know. This is the stage Im at now. Im considering telling my wife to walk up and hit me with a newspaper or broom whenever she sees my screen flash. Im just afraid i might start ignoring that too and she'll be unable to wake me if theres a fire.

Plants really shouldn't be placed in situations where that can happen at all, since plant armour is a big problem in itself, especially in Lair.

He's not talking about needing to destroy plants, but about clouds and/or allies randomly damaging/attacking nearby plants while you rest

He's not talking about needing to destroy plants, but about clouds and/or allies randomly damaging/attacking nearby plants while you rest
I know. Situations where clouds and/or allies create spam because of nearby plants are almost 1:1 with situations where plant armour is a problem.
