I can't agree with your Beogh rating. I think we've discussed this before, but I guess I just value any allies, even rather weak and infrequently appearing ones, pretty highly. I definitely think Beogh is a level above Gozag or TSO.

In the same vein I'd put Yred higher than the other gods on that tier.

Overall I think these are very good lists. #teamMargery

Why is Beogh always so low, I mean, it might be tedious, but for a newer Crawl player it often lets you vault farther into the mid-game than you ever hoped to get. At least until you get half your orcs killed in some stupid encounter, which is like a half-death for you, as if you were a felid and died, but the feedback that you did something wrong is much stronger than if you're a solo character.

I just splashed a TrCK of Jiyva at ascension, and I would put it at S+ simply because it does not make you want to ctrlqyes at the lategame. didn't have that much fun with the game in quite some time.

Yeah, beogh is solid, one of the best gods a HO can choose. What he does is give you ranged allies, which are very hard to come by without Beogh, and very powerful. 3 orc warlords with arbalests will kill a lot of stuff before you even notice it.

How to play beogh:

• Keep at most your strongest 4-5 orcs at your side. This makes them level up faster and means they don't get in the way of each other's shots. It also means your weaker orcs aren't dying by the dozens, so you have them in reserve. Just stop recall after you have 4-5 orcs.
• Don't let them die. Rush to the front and try to soak the hits yourself. Make sure to tell them to run away from danger.
• To help you soak the hits yourself, be an armored tank.

edit: To be fair, the most of the lists in OP at least appear to be well thought-out, irony notwithstanding, so it makes sense that people would give the ranking some weight. Plus, it is fun to rank things. duvessa's lists accord more or less with my own, I guess, except for the attractiveness list (but then there's no accounting for taste).
