Is worshipping gozag a death sentence as a Vp/Gh?

I just joined Gozag as a Vp and I realized that there are now no more corpses and porridge doesn't work, so I can't eat. Is it time to ctr+q, or is there a workaround?

As a ghoul - maybe it's a death sentence. As a vampire - Gozag is just awful, but if you buy a food shop from him, you can choose blood. Then you get some potions of blood for purchase. This means, of course, that you're not getting a more interesting shop.

Another way to regain a little nutrition is to become a stabber. If you stab a living enemy, you will gain some health and blood.

You can also use the vampiric draining spell on easy, living enemies to heal.

Primarily you just have to avoid taking damage. Invisibility may help on that account.

It's not easy. Gozag is the worst, especially for vampires. There are however two Gozag vampire wins: a VpEE and a VpEn.

I had a VpNe of Gozag on my hyper account recently, and it was awful. Luckily of course I had vamp drain, but it's effectiveness petered out relatively quickly. I think I could've won, but it was really tedious and splatted with two runes.

I think Gozag should refuse Gh and Vp worshippers, then. It would be easy to justify this flavourwise. At least there should be a major warning ("Do you really want to ruin your game?") but outright refusal would be more elegant imo.

Gozag is all about business so it wouldn't make sense to outright refuse vampire and ghoul worshipers, maybe have vampires get potions of blood with the potion petition, and give ghouls a special ghoul only ability to buy chunks/corpses. (Probably chunks since buying corpses could be abused.)

I think ghouls should get the same benefits from potions of blood that they get from chunks. In non-gozag games it will make almost no difference, and in gozag games they can buy potions of blood.

It would take lots of potions, though. Maybe quaffing a potion of blood should only have a 20% chance to consume it for a ghoul, representing sipping the potion.

You could have Gozag straight up refuse undead. Flavour-wise, since they could [technically] live forever they could accrue interest and wealth forever and crash the market (actually true). Kek.

Trolls are probably about as bad as Ghouls nutrition problem-wise; though. I mean, yes they could keep petitioning porridge, but...Troll hunger is atrocious.

Gozag already provides food for Vp and Gh, and has for months.

Unless this was reverted, which I can't seem to spot happening.

I see, so as I understand it you just need to be able to survive long enough to get enough money to open a food store...and most of your future gold will go towards food. So it's not a death sentence, but it does make Gozag pretty useless.

Well, I did enjoy Gozag quite a bit on a formicid. I opened up a bunch of antique armour shops and got some really good gear options.
