SEEE god choice

I am playing Sludge Elf Earth Elementalist right now and was wondering what is the best god choice for this combination. Since I did not have found the Transmutations book yet i was thinking about Sif Muna. If I choose that should I follow the path of transmutatons or maybe it would be better to be a cnojurer. In that caseI suppose Vehumet would be better.

Or maybe there is better god to create some unique combo?

I know Nemelex is always welcome but i was thinking about something else actually.

Below is the dump of my character:

Re: SEEE god choice

Earth elementalists pair up VERY nicely with Ashenzari. You can see where to hit the walls with Rapid Deconstruction, often clearing difficult vaults without actually seeing any of the inhabitants. It never gets old. Her retraining ability also lets you hot-swap to evocations and staff skill from whatever weapon skill you had before once you've found a staff of earth, all without requiring you to suffer through as much of a gap before it starts working properly.

The caster sisters are, of course, solid choices, and Nemelex works with any build.

Crawl deities are explicitly and intentionally non-gendered and non-personified. Each player can characterize them how they like. I see the caster goddesses as a coven of witches, possibly based on the three Fates of Greek mythology, each offering different sorts of gifts to their worshippers. Vehumet spins the strands of Fate, birthing energy and monsters out of nothing. Sif Muna weaves the strands, establishing order and methodology where there was chaos. Kiku cuts the strands, finalizing that Fate but making room for the next project.

Re: SEEE god choice

Don't discard Nemelex that easily - high evocations and a staff of earth is still a good combo. Does mean that you have to invest a lot of xp in staves and evocations. Last time I did this I saved by not putting any in conjurations. But with LRD, you don't need it.

Re: SEEE god choice

Vehumet is a straightforward, kickass God for SEEE. Don't let the Sludge Elf -2 in Conjurations fool you, the amount of Earth Magic and Spellcasting training you end up doing more than makes up for it.

1) You're guaranteed to get Iron Shot just as Stone Arrow starts to run out of steam. And Iron Shot (especially with the Vehumet range extension) monsters pretty much anything in the 3-rune game, not to mention most of the postgame! And before that, the range increase for Sandblast is quite nice.

2) MP for kills. When you get Lee's Rapid Deconstruction working well against groups, you can go a long while between rests. Vehumet doesn't gift Shatter, but it seems to turn up pretty often anyway, and it's a beast.

Lehudib's Crystal Spear is guaranteed, but to be honest that's not much of a factor unless you like going toe-to-toe with demon lords*! Tempting though Transmutations is, you can get by very well indeed as a straight blaster - your two best postgame spells (Shatter and LRD) are pure Earth anyway.

*Personally I do :P

[edit: I also like the Ashenzari/LRD suggestion, though I haven't tried it yet!]

Haha, "discard".
