That's the only sensible conclusion one could draw. But I'm sure he's reformed.

Something's not right. Either you told him to der or her to die.

Re: the Counsellors thread

I'd like to nominate Patashu for counsellor.

(re: removing the counsellor status: I don't mind it existing, but wouldn't object to removal. I think the situation in tavern is different now than it was when counsellors where introduced, as I have the impression there many more people giving competent advice these days than then. The need for blue names is certainly less now. Adding everyone who gives consistently good advice these days to a group makes that group very big)

Re: the Counsellors thread

I kind of agree. There's a lot of blue names now, and a lot of non-blue names giving as good or better advice anyway. The blue name gives a sense of authority that doesn't actually exist.

Re: the Counsellors thread

Dissolving the Counsellor group is always an option and up for discussion in this thread. It has downsides and benefits; if people feel the former outweigh the latter, we should do away with it.

In the meantime, though: Patashu has been nominated, and I agree that he or she gives good advice. Other folks' thoughts?

Re: the Counsellors thread

Patashu seems to give solid advice. I'll give a +1 to that.

I nominate Sandman. He gives well thought out and explained advice, and offers alternatives to whatever the current 'groupthink' is. It's nice for inexperienced players to see even good players have different ideas on how to be successful.

Re: the Counsellors thread

Patashu is a fine idea.

Sandman's advice is too haphazard - sometimes it's unique-good but often it's unique-awful. There's a lot of tendency for him to misinterpret data, as well.

That's a good description, thank you ;)
I am the first to admit that the latter happens much more often than the former. Also as I've already written some time ago I will never be a counsellor for several reasons.

I concur with Patashu's nomination. I've benefited immensely from his advice so far.

Re: the Counsellors thread

Who is patashu? I browse these forums all the time and never see him. I only go on yuif and GDD though, does he just dwell in advice boards?
To all new players: Ignore all strategy guides posted on the wiki, ask questions in the Advice forum, players with lots of posts normally have the best advice.

Patashu is very active on the advice and YAVP/YASD boards (which are the ones most relevant to being a counsellor, of course).

+1 for Patashu.

I can see merits to having and removing the councilor group, so I abstain.
