Yes, this is what I planned on doing. But my functions for scoring look for games started after a certain time, which is at 7pm EST of a given day. I was just trying to save myself a little work with having to go change them around to find games started before then. In the end, I caused myself even more work by trying to save work, so lesson learned. Won't be a problem in the future.

Agreed, there is no problem with practicing offline. Trying to get a feel for the character and determine which strategy to employ is a perfectly valid thing to do in this competition. The situation I wanted to avoid is for someone to start games over and over, until they find something really good on D:1 or D:2 (especially relevant for games with Xom). When you play offline it doesn't matter, even if you find something good the game will not count.
Neither you nor Tiktacy were trying to abuse your opportunity, which is why I'm okay with erasing those games.
