hmm im sure I know the password but i keep getting login failed. Pretty sure I played CAO for last tourny and not sure why my pass isnt working anymore.

** im west coast and czo can have a touch of lag at times. maybe im dumb and there used to be a diferent west coast us server I played on? crawlus.somatika.net? I swear i had the name tizzy on all the servers.

Are you the same player as "tenderloin"? If not, then someone else has the account on CAO, but has played only once, almost 3 years ago. If that's the case, the tournament scripts will think you're the same person and credit you with any games they happen to play.

If that is you, then I can send you a password reset to the email listed on the account. I do notice you have no email listed on CSZO: you should probably fix that (log in with ssh) or it might be difficult to reset your CSZO password should that become necessary in the future.

(And, yes, you likely played on somatika before, but that server has been gone for several months

)

Hi, I too (jefkin) just lost my password -- I also put a note about it here: https://crawl.develz.org/mantis/view.php?id=5607 -- I hope not to seem spammy, but I also wonder why the system doesn' t have a more automated way of resetting them :-/

I've got to say that, based on how technologically enhanced these sites are, I'm somewhat surprised that none of these systems have an automated password recovery of some form.

Same problem here. Lost my "Gabriellk" account's password more than a year ago I don't know why, and haven't been able to log in since. :/ Just posted a thread about it on DCA, apparently this in the right place, sorry.

... I do understand the potential to spam other accounts, etc; the problem being that many advanced recovery systems ask you for an additional identifying item beyond the e-mail address associated with the account.
If such a facility existed, a delay between sends, detection of duplicate e-mails and requests and some other basic abuse protection factors would need to be put into place. Of course, that's probably re-inventing the wheel... assuming a cookie-cutter pre-generated solution is already available from the open-source community.

Sigh. Due to user error (e.g. stupidity) I have also lost my password on CAO (user name IggyPope). If this is fixable, awesome, and if not, oh well, hadn't yet got my first rune on my first game. Also, thanks for the awesome game!

Just sent via private message. There seems to be no email address associated with an account; you can change that by connecting with ssh and selecting 'e' from the main menu.

It looks like I signed up for CAO many years ago, but I can't remember my old password.

Logged in to CSZO last night, unable to login this morning with the password I remember using. Username is thedrillkeeper. I've tried logging in with SSH with no luck either.

I played through SSH on CAO (but don't recall my PW) and was just trying to log into Webtiles. It looks like it uses the same account (i.e. I can't register using the same username and email), but I need a password reset and it looks like this is the place to ask. My username is clweeks.

I think I registered on the German server (crawl.lantea.net - CLAN?), which could be the reason why you didn't find me. Anyhow, I've created a new account.

It looks like I used lostbent when I made the account, and that is an old and inaccessible email. Any way I could get a PM or get it off my old laptop? Seems like the password must be stored as a cookie somewhere

I have an old account on CAO. Aurelian. A few years ago I set up an account with the same name but a different password on the Sydney server - CPO. I have forgotten the password and can't log in. I live in Melbourne and would rather play on the local server with the same account name so my stats will keep accumulating on the original account name. Is it possible to reset the CPO server password?
