Cannot see spells and abilities

Hi all !

I swear I browsed the tavern and found nothing about this...

I recently discovered DCSS and installed it on 2 computers

On the 1st one, when I wear an item ginving an ability, or when i learn a new spell, I can see it over my inventory.
But on the other one, it's not the case. To see spells or abilities, I must select the corresponding tab and it replaces inventory.

I read Game help and init.txt but found nothing...

Any suggestions ? Thanks !

Your second computer have a too small resolution, the spell and ability panels can't be shown all the time. Maybe you can fit them by playing with the tile_layout_priority option (read options_guide.txt)

Alternatively you can try to decrease font sizes in init.txt. I experienced this issue when I increased font sizes too much so hopefully it works the other way around also.
