Flash Drive Crawl

I have Crawl on my flash drive so I can play at work. Got a bit of a problem. How do I modify so that my saved games are stored on my flash drive? From looking at these forums I get the sense that it has something to do with the init file. Any advice?

Re: Flash Drive Crawl

Use the .zip instead of the installer. Or use the -dir option to specify the directory where saves and settings will be stored.

The directory option in the init file? Changed that and I can't start a new game if I have one saved, but it did work

Re: Flash Drive Crawl

no the -dir command line parameter. If your flash drive is F:, start crawl with:

  Code:
crawl.exe -dir f:\

Are you saying the command line prompt in the init file?

Re: Flash Drive Crawl

No, it's the .exe parameter (right click, proprieties).

But really, just use the stand alone version : http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net/project ... -win32.zip
