Question r.e. CAO and CDO

Hello,

I usually play Webtiles, but with the approaching tournament I assume it won't be updated to 0.10 for a while, so I want to play the terminal version. I can log into CDO on putty, but not CAO. The player name exists, but it does not accept my password. Im not even sure if someone else has my name on that server. If I go on http://crawl.akrasiac.org/scoring/all-players.html my profile is there and it is my games - so why cant i log into this server on terminal?

(Also, how do I edit an rc file to join a tournament team?)

Thanks in advance!

Re: Question r.e. CAO and CDO

If you're using Putty, get the key from here - http://crawl.akrasiac.org/cao_key.ppk
Both CAO & CDO allow login using the same key (no need for id/passwd)
For CAO, connect using joshua@crawl.akrasiac.org
For CDO, connect using crawl@crawl.develz.org

The scores and games listed there are both those that have been played on CAO and CDO, so seeing your CDO games there doesn't mean CAO has your login. CAO and CDO have separate login databases. I believe two players with the same name and different passwords on the two servers would see both their games on the score page.

The lines to put in the file are here:
http://seleniac.org/crawl/tourney/12a/

When you log in to the server, you choose which version (9/10/trunk, or whatever the options happen to be) then press p to play, or o to edit the options file (also called the rc file.)
