Resurrection

Not sure if this is in the right place or not...

Anyway, is there a way to edit my save game to go back to an earlier time? Just lost a very promising lvl 23 character because I didn't realize my levitation spell was going to run out over deep water. Such bullshit.

Anyway, any possibility of me finding a way to scum my save file and resurrect this adventurer?

Re: Resurrection

No there isn't. Death is permanent.
<+Grunt> You dereference an invalid pointer! Ouch! That really hurt! The game dies...

Re: Resurrection

My second best all time character died the same way. It was a SpEn of Fedhas. I was in the shoals.

Re: Resurrection

They are long gone and that's all the fun* with the game. You mess up, you die. Now you're dead. Can you do anything when you're dead? No. So yeah you're dead. You can't do anything. Move on.

Re: Resurrection

Although I have lost many a character due to stupidity, it was never by drowning. Granted, I mostly play Kenkus. :) But I have been killed by paralyzation way too often, one case involving a botched identification of a crystal ball of fixation in Elf 5. Learned my lesson after this one, though.

Re: Resurrection

I don't get it - everyone talks about felids as if they had multiple lives, but whenever I play one, and I die, I'm dead for good... :?
Do you only earn the extra lives after reaching some particular character level or something?

You get a new life every 3 levels.
