Updating to 0.18 in Linux

Hi there, I've installed Crawl on a Chromebook using Gallium OS (which I think is Ubuntu based), and works fine but left me playing 0.17.

I've tried to update and either get 'crawl-tiles is already the newest version (2:0.17.1-1) if I try to reinstall tiles, or E: Failed to fetch https://crawl.develz.org/debian/dists/crawl/InRelease if I apt-get update.

I've had a good Google to no avail, and checked what I put into the terminal. Has anyone noticed this happen before? Thanks!

Re: Updating to 0.18 in Linux

I sounds like you need to update your sources.list to the 0.18 component. Make sure your sources.list entry for the crawl repo is:

  Code:
deb https://crawl.develz.org/debian crawl 0.18

My guess is that 0.18 is currently 0.17 in your case. Then you should be able to apt-get update and install crawl-tiles.

I also play on a chromebook, and I think Gallium might be part of the problem. I run Trusty and the commands on the page work fine.
I'm with tasonir on this one.

Thanks Gammafunk, double checked, but definitely 0.18, yet the update stubbornly pulls through 0.17.

Might switch back to Trusty from Gallium then Midn8, online play is not so great for train journeys with lots of tunnels. Shame because it's a nice fit for my C720. Maybe 0.19 will magically work ok!
