cannot load trunk

No problems getting the stable versions to download, but when I try to run ver .18 the computer locks up and I have to actually turn it off. I am running Windows 10, downloading the program and then attempting to run it as an administrator. Help! I've tried both the Windows installer and the download tiles options. Many thanks for any insights.
