Android Tiles broken?

I tried loading up 0.16.1 tiles version on my Galaxy Note 4, but it crashes to homescreen after selecting species and background. Uninstaller and tried with latest trunk build, but same results. Anyone else having trouble running the Android version?

Found this in the crash log.

Install the latest (trunk) version from here: http://crawl.newtzie.com/ AFAIK there were some android bugs that got fixed in trunk, try it out.

Hm, the last time that happened to me I switched my keyboards and then it worked fine (if you configure the Hacker's Keyboard to a size below 100% Crawl will crash, for example, but if the size is bigger or equal 100% it won't)
Try to switch keyboards and see if it works. If it still doesn't, reinstall crawl after deleting the " org.develz.crawl " folder in " /storage/sdcard0/Android/data/ " and uninstalling it.

Tried deleting the folder and reinstalling several times. Also tried the above with several different keyboards (Samsung default, Google Keyboard, SwiftKey, Hackers Keyboard) to no avail. Older versions load properly (0.15.1 and below) but they seem to run on a different framework than newer versions.

On the plus side, thanks for turning me to Hackers Keyboard. I think I quite like it on my Note 4.

Well, I think the best way to solve your problem is going to ##crawl-dev (webchat.freenode.net) and posting your crashlogs via pastebin there.

Which background are you choosing before the game crashes? I have a similar issue when selecting Hunter as background.

So it looks like the game isn't creating all (most) the files it needs to on first boot. Missing a lot of data.

My org.develz.crawl folder only has 7.96MB, 521 files, and 7 folders.

You could try downloading a Windows tiles version and unzipping the files on org.develz.crawl to "complement" it (if you don't have a file manager I recommend Es File Explorer)

I'll give that a go.

Update: Tried and it didn't work. Symptoms are the same. I also tried by extracting the assets directly from the .apk file (its just a fancy zip) and still no go.
