All Text Gone Bonkers

Need help:
I just started playing on my desktop, and really want to play on my laptop. but all of the text come up as unreadable blocks of colour.
I have included a picture... i think

my specs for the laptop are:
Windows Xp Professional 32 bit
Intel Pentium Dual
2gb of Memory
Shared Graphics.
