I just learned about this game and having played all sort of roguelikes I wanted to give this one a try.

Just one problem - when I try to load the tileset version the screen flickers black and returns to desktop. I can't run the tileset version at all.

I thought it might be that I'm running Windows 7 but from the number of people playing this I'm sure that would have been an issue before.

Has anyone heard of compatibility issues with i7's or Radeon HD 5500?

Which version have you downloaded? 0.7 or 0.8?
And have you installed proper graphic drivers?

Updated my drivers and got it working.

It seems the last time I ran the AMD catalyst updater it downloaded an incorrect driver for a slightly different model.

I am having same issue as original poster. Running Windows vista 32bit, just updated drivers and downloaded v0.7.2. Does anyone have some other ideas?
